RE/MAX 4000 is Awarded the Edison Award from United Way of Mesa County
On February 24th, United Way of Mesa County Co-Chairs, Debe Colby and Mike Stahl announced the results of the 2010-11 annual United Way of Mesa County fund-raising drive at the Double Tree Hotel. As of February 24th, the community donated $1,082,035, which is 90% of the $1.2 Million goal. Though below goal, UWMC saw a 6% increase in participation of employees within workplace campaigns. Workplace campaigns represent 80-85% of annual funding and are the heart of the United Way campaign.
This year RE/MAX 4000 was proud to be a participant in a workplace campaign and decided to take a new approach from past years. Through the leadership of Joanna Little,RE/MAX 4000 Associate who served on the United Way Campaign Cabinet, the Company organized a silent auction and supplied ”gently used” personal items owned by the RE/MAX 4000 agents. The event cleaned out closets and raised money for United Way. Through their efforts RE/MAX 4000 was awarded The Edison Award from United Way 2010-2011 Campaign for “innovative workplace campaign techniques”.
