Performance Reflections

Getting down to business, it’s time to take a look at what is the driving force of your company; You Inc.  We all can do better and achieve more and get more done if that is what our goal is.  But again, we have to take a step back and reflect on what needs to happen in order to perfect our performance.

Have you ever walked by a store front window and checked yourself out? If you said no, we have lots of work to do, number one thing to address would be honesty.  Of course, everyone has looked at the reflection in the window.  Do you stand up straighter and maybe suck in your tummy?  We have to always hold ourselves accountable for our own journey, our own businesses and our own success.

Here are  FIVE addictions to take a look at, maybe you have none of them, but if you have any of them, that addiction may be holding you back from achieving a better you.

  1.  Addiction to be right.
  2. Addiction to worrying about what people think.
  3. Addiction to drama, negative thinking, gossip and creating doubt.
  4. Addiction to the past. i.e. I’ve always…I can’t….This is how it has always been.
  5. Addiction to worry.

You may not have the opportunity to catch yourself in a store front reflection today, but there is surely  a mirror within close range.  Take a long look at the reflection there and ask yourself if you are suffering from any of these 5 addictions and if you are, promise yourself you ar going to move past the addictions that kill performance and get down to business being a better you and a better business person.
